Full Color Alchemist

I've been slacking on uploading sketches lately because I've been swamped with work. I have done some hand studies that I hope to have uploaded later this week. For now though I figured I'd post this full colored version of a sketch I did a week or so ago.

Terry McGinnis as Batman from Batman Beyond. A very under appreciated show that needs an ongoing comic to take its place.

This started off as lineart that I was going to turn into a finished project in photoshop but I decided to finish inking it by hand. I still might photoshop it later but for now I'm just gonna chalk it up to a practice piece.

The Full Metal Alchemist

After all the mannequin sketching I wanted to sketch a pose and flesh out a character from it. I decided to do Edward Elric in mid transmutation. It's a pose thats been used many times before and this particular angle has probably even been used but this sketch was still from scratch so I feel accomplished. I might try some more upper body characters similar to this. I've been trying some Cyclops sketches but I just can't get the pose right yet . . .

Also, I decided to ink this one since I was so happy with it. It's been a while since I've inked something by hand.
